Holiday Beauties

This year, I need to be a little less frugal with what beauties I bring away. Last year's was fine but I found myself stuck for one or two bits. I was too strict on myself. Finding the perfect balance is tricky.I always think oh! maybe I'l take another little bit "just in case"

During the day I'll give up makeup completely but for the evening time I'll be avoiding foundations and sticking with a BB Cream.I have a love/hate relationship with BB Creams but Clarins offering is one of the best I have tried plus it has SPF25.

My much loved Isadora giant bronzer is coming with me along with my Collection eyeliner, Essence Mascara, Essence Eyebrow Pencil and The Body Shop Colour Crush . I'm not bringing an eyeshadow palette with me this time as I found I stuck to the same colour all the time. I opted for a gorgeous gold/bronze eyeshadow from Essence called Skeye and Sand.

I think these beauties are everything I will need. Hopefully I won't be running to the supermarket to pick up any additions but then again it's always fun to try newbies.

When you head away do you end up with the right amount of beauties or do you bring some "just in case" lovelies aswell?

Catrice And Essence Buys For Under €20

This morning, I found myself in a bit of a pickle. I'm up in Dublin and didn't bring any makeup with me. I wasn't planning on going anywhere, just staying in the mammy's for the day. But sure enough, the plans changed and I needed a bit of makeup.

Luckily, the chemist up the road stocks two of my favourite budget brands - Catrice and Essence. On the shopping list was a foundation I could get use without needing a powder, a blusher, eye shadow, eyeliner, brow pencil, mascara and something to add a little colour to my lips.

Here's what I bought

L-R: Catrice All Matt Plus Shine Control Makeup, Essence Get Big Lashes Volume Curl, Essence Brow Pencil in Blonde, Essence Kohl Eyeliner in Black, Essence Single Eyeshadow in Metropolitan, Essence Silky Touch Blush in Adorable and Essence Glossy Lip balm in  Strawberry Cheesecake.

All this came to a grand total of €19! Bargain! So far I am loving the foundation. I've heard rave reviews about it and was curious.

Full views coming on these lovelies soon.

Have you used any of these products?

N.O.T.D Illamasqua Collide WIth Glitter

Since picking up Collide in my Illamasqua Mystery Box, I am completely obsessed with the neon pinkness of it all. I decided to wear it for the Oh La La Blog Awards last night with some glitter.

 Are you loving neon polishes?

Essence Nail Art Peel Off Base Coat

I am a girl who loves nail polish. The one thing I dislike is having to use nail polish remover especially when it comes to glitter nail polish removal. Sure, there is the tinfoil method but its time consuming so I do a really bold thing and pick it off. Which leaves my nails in a right state.

Knowing this, Donna recommended Essence Peel Off Base coat. I cant remember the exact price but its around the €2.50 mark at bigger Essence stands.

The base coat goes on white (think Tippex) and dries clear after about 10 minutes. Once dry, you can paint away to your hearts content using regular or glitter polish.

Girls, say goodbye to the pain of nail polish remover, all you need is this lovely!
I am seriously impressed. When I noticed a couple of nails needed repainting all I had to do was effortlessly peel off the polish and pop on a fresh coat.

*The nail polish in these images is Isadora Sugar Crush Turquoise Crush, review coming next week. I also mentioned a secret weapon in last weeks N.O.T.D - this is it*

Will you give this lovely a try?
