The Body Shop Strawberry Body Sorbet

I love a good body moisturiser. I have loads of them but lately I've heard stories of body sorbets. They sounded delightful and I planned to pick up one when I received a lovely parcel from The Body Shop containing their new body sorbets. I was sent Strawberry and Moringa to try. 

I was a little sceptical and thought that a sorbet would not give me the moisture a traditional cream would but happily with The Body Shop's offering, it has really helped keep my skin hydrated.The sorbet dries quickly a leaves a velvety finish on your skin.

What I really can't get over is the heavenly strawberry scent. I was afraid it would be too sweet but it's just perfect. Everytime I wear it, I can't help but sniff my arms. The scent easily lasts a few hours after application. When I feel like an extra treat, I pop it in the fridge for a while.

Holiday Pics

Hi lovelies, I am slowly getting my back in to blogging and wanted to start back by sharing some of our holiday pics. We had a lovely time, just chilling out. All the time, my cousin was in my mind but I know he'd have been raging with me if I didn't at least try.

We did lots while away, mainly centred around animals as both myself and the little man are mad about them. At a few places we had the opportunity of getting up close and personal with them including holding a baby crocodile and holding a parrot. I have to say I was a bit dubious about holding the crocodile but I absolutely loved it. 

Fuengirola is a great place to head to with young kids or just couples. There is lots to do and everything is so cheap. I picked up a couple of beauties but the best bargain was my beloved La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume 120ml. It costs €12.50 here but I picked it up for €8.50. Needless to say I bought a few tubes

I'm Back

Hi Lovelies

I'm home. Well actually I got home last Sunday and as you may have noticed the blog has been quiet since I got back. Two days after we arrived in Spain, I received the heart breaking news that my cousin passed away.

It wasn't something me or any of my family would have ever expected and it was a major shock. On hearing the news, we thought about coming home but the cost of the flights home and on speaking to family, we decided to stay. It was a horrible decision to have to make but I know my cousin would be ok with it. 

I enjoyed the holiday as much as I could but the news was always hanging around in the background. I grew up with my cousin seeing him at least twice a week. In recent years we had grown apart but when we did see each other, we had great fun chatting about books, films, tv and what wines we thought were worth rating. We shared an affinity for red wine.

I'm saddened by his passing and can't quite believe it. My cousin just turned 30 back in February. Since getting home, I have spent time with family and spent time coming to terms with the news. 

I will be back blogging properly next week but just wanted to touch base and let you know where I am at.

My Two Week Manicure Adventures

I have become addicted to two/three week manicures. Wheneever I have an occasion that I don't feel like doing my nails for it is ideal. I've had these types of manicure four times. Each time a different brand.

My first experience was in Dylan Bradshaw where I had this lovely manicure applied using Shellac.

I really liked the Shellac, it lasted almost two weeks without any chips.

Next up was a Perfect Match Manicure from Carter Beauty, where I went with a lovely summery blue and glitter.

Again, I got almost two weeks out of the Perfect Match. 

After the Perfect Match, I took a bit of break from gel manicure. that was until recently. I was heading away for the weekend and decided to treat myself to a manicure. This time it was Gellish.

I got on alright with Gellish but I found after about 10 days, the polish was peeling off in clumps. This made me sad. I'm not sure if it was the polish or application that caused this issue.

With heading away to the sun, I opted for a beautiful bright pink that is very similar to line of my favourite polishes Illamasqua Collide.
