Eat Water Slim Pasta

I'm a huge fan of pasta so you can imagine how much I have missed having a big bowl of spaghetti bolognaise since starting my low carb diet. (I've been quite lazy over Christmas with my diet so need to get back into the swing)

While researching low carb alternatives I came across Eat Water Slim Pasta which is has no carbs, low calorie, fat free, sugar free and gluten free. They also only contain 7 calories! Sounded ideal and as luck would have it, I received a sample of their spaghetti and fettuccine to try out.

Slim Pasta is made from a natural vegetable fibre called Konjac (yup the same as the popular sponges) Konjac has been consumed in Asia for centuries and has a heap of health benefits including weight loss and lowering cholesterol. Thanks to these natural vegetable fibres, Slim Pasta should help keep hunger pangs at bay.Not only is Slim pasta good for helping lose weight, it is also beneficial to people with diebetics and those is search of gluten free alternatives.

How I Found Them?
I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the Spaghetti. I was expecting a weird texture that would put me off but it actually wasn't too bad. Sure it's not pasta pasta but it's definitely a good alternative and when paired with the hubbys homemade bolognaise, they were yummy.

They are super easy to prepare, all you need to do is drain the water from the pack, rinse 2-3 under warm water to remove any starch then heat in an open pan for 2-3 minutes or pop them in the microwave for a minute.
Any Other Varieties?
If Spaghetti isn't your thing, there are other choices in the Eat Water Range including noodles, rice, penne and fettuccine

Where Can You Buy Them?
The Eat Water range can be found in good health food stores, chemists, In Health as well as EatWater.ie They retail for €2.99 a pack which serves 1-2 people but on In Health you can pick them up for €2.99
