October Facebook Finds

Over the past couple of days, I have been spending an obscene amount of time on Facebook. It's all for a good cause though in getting Precious Polishes name out there. I came across a great page that promotes Irish business pages on Facebook . There are literally thousands of businesses on them, lots of them have some gorgeous items. I'm all about spreading the love to fellow Irish business so have started a Facebook Finds series.

Each month, I will share my favourite three pages for the month. If you're on Facebook, take a look at them. You may just find something you fall in love with. I have already found lots I want to buy/

Denise's Gifts offer a gorgeous range of handmade jewellery at affordable prices. What's even better is there is no postage charges. I have my eye on these two lovelies.

Cheeky Baba Gifts custom make nappy cakes in all shapes and sizes including a motorbike. How cool is that? Next baby born in my family will be getting one of these. Too Cute!!

The next page is one I will definitely be buying from is Cards and Calligraphy . I love handmade cards and these Christmas gift tags are so lovely. I think these would be a great add on to a Christmas gift.

While your on Facebook if you could like Anita Beauty Blog and Precious Polish, I would really appreciate it.

Also feel free to link pages you like in the comments

Makeup Academy Lovelies

So... a few weeks ago, I  may have got a notification that my beloved Undressed Palette from Makeup Academy was back in stock. I hotfooted it to the website and put it in my shopping basket.

While there, I had a little browse to see what else was on offer. Sure it would be rude not to, wouldn't it?I ended up adding a few more items to my basket - Fashionista Gel Eyeliner, Smokin Palette and Fashionista Brow Kit.

I am seriously loving the Smoking Palette, all the eyeshadows are really pigmented and it gives great options for day and evening makeup. I also really like the Kohl Eyeliner, something I was really surprised with because I usually never get on with pencil liners but this lovely is soft and goes onto the lash line smoothly and effortlessly.

The Brow Kit is also a winner for me, it evens out my brows and makes them look like they have been tinted. I haven;t used the gel eyeliner yet but plan on once the kohl eyeliner is gone.

I really like the MUA website, it's easy to use and is great for getting any of the products that are so hard to get here in Ireland.

INGLOT Open City Centre Store

On Friday, I headed along to the blogger launch of the new INGLOT pro store in South Anne Street, Dublin.I was thrilled to be finally able to pop my head into a store to look. I was like a kid in a candy store looking at all the pretty things on offer and my hand was swatched within an inch of its life.

There were so many lovely products.

Not only is there lots of makeup to look at, the store also has a gorgeous makeup studio upstairs so you can have a bit of privacy while getting your makeup done.

If you are in town for a spot of shopping, definitely visit the store to have a look. Also if you fancy a masterclass, INGLOT ambassador and celebrity makeup artist Jon Hennessey will be visiting tomorrow 11am-1am focusing on fundamental make up in terms of contour, colour and texture. He will also be there Thursday 6pm-9pm which will look at emerging makeup trends. He will also have a questions and answers segment at the end of each class

Both makeup masterclasses will cost €50 and can be booked by calling 01-6799253/ 087 3973434 or emailing southannest@inglotireland.com

Will you be visiting the new store?

#SBBC 29: An Era I Love

Todays post choice was sharing my earliest makeup memories, I already posted something similar. So I thought I would share with you and era I am completely obsessed with.

I am just obssessed. The 60's marked a massive change for us women. We were entering the workplace more frequently, the clothes were rebellious and makeup also became more dramatic.

From when I was a child, it was a decade I loved. I would listen to the music all the time, something I still do to this day. What I really loved about the 60's was the makeup. The big lashes, dark crease, natural blush and natural lip. The ultimate example of this is British model Twiggy

Are you a 60's child at heart?
