By now, you will know that I love trying mascaras that promise to volumise, curl and lengthen so I will definitely be buying this baby to try out.

A lot of brands are releasing these after Clinique's Chubby Stick success, although I haven't tried Clinique's offering, I have tried the Bourjois version. I really like the idea of Pure Shine as there is a good variety of colours and promise to keep your lips lovely and hydrated.

My Top 5 Holiday Fashion Essentials

When I was planning for my holiday, I had an endless list of fashion essentials to get me through both day and night. Here are 5 essentials any girls needs when heading away on holidays

A Maxi Dress is ideal for both day and evening. All you have to do is jazz it up with a pair of wedges or dressy sandals for evening time.

A Stylish Pair Of Sunglasses never goes amiss, you definitely have to protect your eyes from those rays so why not do it in style?

I always bring a pair or runners with me, they have to be breathable and comfy for any long walks I take in the evening or if I am going horse riding.

Hi Tec Zuuk Trainer

A beach bag is definitely an essential item for holidays. I always like to take quite a bit one so I can fit a towel in it and a few other bits.

Canvas Rope Bag

You can't beat a comfy wedge in the evenings, especially if you are wearing a dress and want to avoid wearing a pair of stilettos in the heat.

Leather Wedge

What are your holiday fashion essentials?

A Stay In Parcel Motel

I've always been curious about Parcel Motel but it was only this week I decided to sign up. The main reason is because I have wanted to purchase items from the UK but am often put off by the extortionate fees.

When you register you receive a PMID number and two addresses that you use to shop online with. You get one Irish address, which will be handy if like me, you are always missing deliveries. I've lost count how many times I have had to pop along to the sorting office to pick up a parcel . The second address is a UK address which means you will be able to pay UK shipping prices and if there is free UK delivery, you only pay for the parcel motel fee.

Speaking of the fee, it's €3.50. Pretty reasonable considering it means no more missed parcels and potentially free delivery from UK stores.

At the moment, Parcel Motel are giving a free gift (which includes chocolates, a towel and slippers) when you register. This is so you can try out the service for yourself. I had to give it a try sure so I registered and a the next day I got a text letting me know my parcel had arrived.

When you arrive at your parcel motel, all you have to do is enter your mobile number and the pin number that is sent to you and Voila!! A door opens with your parcel inside.

It's kinda fun trying to guess which door will open as there is a load of them depending on the size of your parcel.

I can see this service been used a lot by me in the future, would you try Parcel Motel?

*Please note, I was not approached by Parcel Motel to do this post. I have read a couple of reviews from my fellow bloggers so decided to give it a go and spread the word of this very handy service*

NYC Foil Explosion

I'm a sucker for NYC Nail Polishes, I love the bright colours and how they last for ages without chipping. I've also been feeling the whole metallic nails trend. You can only imagine my excitement when I received them at a blogger meetup.

L-R Enchanting Fire, Aqua Mystic, Pure Air, Magic Earth, Power Of Elements

There are five shades in the collection and they retail at €1.99. I pretty much like all five of them, however I find Pure Air (the orangey one) takes a couple of coats to get it looking all even stevens.

Will you be trying these lovelies?

*This post was meant to be part of my NYC Appreciation week which I never got around to finishing. There are 2 more posts coming this week showing the love for NYC and then I will be moving onto my next brand*

Bank Holiday Fun

I am in the very lucky position this week of having an extended Bank Holiday. We had planned to go up North and visit my cute 6 month old nephew. But alas, it wasn't meant to be with both his older brother and mum falling sick on Friday.

Stuck for something to do on Saturday, we jumped into the car and headed south. No idea where we would end up, just chilling out having a spin down some country roads. We do this quite a bit and have come across some lovely hidden gems. Before we knew it, we had arrived in The Meetings of The Waters in Avoca, Co.Wicklow. Somewhere neither of us had been for years but somewhere we wanted little man to experience.

On Sunday, we ended up going to the national country fair in Carlow. I usually love these type of fairs because you get to see things you wouldn't on a daily basis. There was a pretty cool air show and some amazing birds of prey but the majority of the fair was just shops or somewhere you could eat. In my opinion not worth the €15 in. Alas, we can't win them all but here are some pics of the bits we did enjoy

After a busy two days, we decided to chill out at home yesterday.

Hope you all had a lovely Bank Holiday

Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff

After what seems like an age, I finally got my hands on the brand new product from Cocoa Brown. The new product is called Tough Stuff and it is a no nonsense exfoliating scrub specifically designed for those rough areas of skin e.g. knees, elbows and ankles.

You can use Tough Stuff for preparing the skin for your Cocoa Brown Tan and removing stubborn old tan. It is also ideal for leaving your skin silky smooth.

The lovely features the classic Cocoa Brown scent Tahitian Gardenia and is pink. Something I really like because it is so different from the usual cream colour featured in so many body scrubs. The exfoliating particles in Tough Stuff are quite fine, something I really love in an exfoliator because I feel they do a much better job.

I had high hopes for Tough Stuff and wasn't let down at all. I used it to prepare my skin for a tan and definitely felt that it left my skin silky smooth. I've yet to try it for removing old tan but I am sure it won't let me down.

I do have one teeny issue with it though. I really wish this came in a tub or pump dispenser because I can see this being a regular feature in my shower.

You can pick Tough Stuff up in all good pharmacies as well as Penney's, Boots, Feel Unique and Cloud10Beauty for just €2.99. For the 50ml, you will get a couple of uses out of it.

Will you be giving this beauty a try?
