Whats On My Night Stand

I spent all morning yesterday clearing out my bedroom. While doing that I decided to leave a few products on my nightstand that I tend to forget about using. Not because I don't love them but I am terrible at neglecting the areas they are for.

I really should use this Vichy Nutri Extra hand cream more often. My hands get wrecked from being in work so this is a major necessity. It has a lovely scent and isn't too greasy.

Serums are something I am getting into more and more. Nuxe Nuxelle Jeunesse is gorgeous. Sinks right into my skin and since I've started using it, my skin has a lovely radiance to it.

This newbie from Vichy is only gorgeous and a definite incentive to start using a night cream more regularly. I have an in depth review of this coming in a few weeks.

My skin gets pretty dry in the summer so I am trying to use a body lotion more regularly. This Fleur de Figuier from Roger and Gallet is the perfect excuse. I can't get enough of the figgy scent.

If there are any of the above products you would like reviewed in more detail, please let me know .

NYC Smooth Skin Mousse Foundation

I'm always on the lookout for a budget friendly foundation that covers up imperfections and doesn't feel too heavy on the skin. I have found just that in NYC Smooth Skin Foundation Mousse.

I purchase 703 for when I have a false tan

I’ve never really been been a fan mousse foundations, usually finding they dry out my skin and look really gick on. This lovely is different though. The mousse is soft and glides onto your skin. The overall finish is one of a flawless nature and tends to last pretty well throughout the day.

Since first receiving this for review, I have repurchased it a couple of times, after all for €3.99 you can't go far wrong.

An Evening In The Morgan

On Friday, I met up with a group of very lovely beauty bloggers for chats and cocktails. I had organsied what we were doing and all the details so I was extremely nervous about the whole thing. Not nervous about seeing the girls because they are all so friendly but nervous everything would go off without a hitch.
After a few cocktails in Dandelion, we headed to The Morgan for some cocktails and complimentary tapas. We are all in love with this hotel so it was great to spend a few hours chilling out. Here is a quick snap of the tapas.

I'm a girl who likes good food and I can confirm everything on the platter was gorgeous, even the calamari. Something I was relieved about because I have never had good calamari and kind of had a mental block about it. If you were to pop into The Morgan, you can get one of these platters for a very reasonable €20 and you can choose which dishes you would like on them.

The bar also has social hours from 4-7.30pm Monday to Friday and 3-6pm at weekends where selected cocktails are €7. The cocktails are gorgeous and all bar the mojito was served in a martini glass which made it all very sophisticated.

All in all, it was a great day.

Have you ever visited The Morgan?

NYC False Eyelashes

I very rarely wear false eyelashes. Not that I don't love them but I find applying them on myself a complete nightmare. Give me a row of girls to put them on and I'll be grand but no such luck when I'm putting them on myself. I've tried many brands of eyelashes from the cheap and cheerful to mid range. Ones I keep returning to are the NYC ones, they are a great price and have a lovely selection to choose from.

Here are my favourite style (#974)

*I had planned on wearing them last week but an allergic reaction to another eye product meant they will be kept for another day*

I love how they are pretty natural but have a bit of Va Va Voom to them. I have tiny eyes so I need to trim these lovelies quite a bit but that's nothing major. All the NYC lashes are self adhesive but I would recommend using something like Duo Glue or the Eyelure Lash Glue to give them a bit of staying power.

Have you tried NYC Lashes?
