Love Irish: InHealth.ie

This weeks Love Irish business is a one I first discovered when I was pregnant. I had terrible morning sickness and was desperate for anything that would make it a little bit easier to handle.  A quick google for morning sickness aids in Ireland and InHealth popped up with sweets that were meant to help.

Supporting Irish as much as I can I decided to place an order from them along with a few other bits and bobs. I was immediately impressed with the selection on the site (as I am to this day), delivery was cheap and quick enough so I placed an order. Two days later, my morning sickness survival kit had arrived.

Since then, I have repeatedly gone back to InHealth for their great selection of health and beauty items and quick delivery. What I also like is you don't have to pay for delivery if you don't want to, a quick phone call and you can order by the phone and  pick up your products the same day. With hubby working around the corner, I usually opt for this.

In Health have a huge range of brands covering everything you can think of. For your skincare needs the stock brands like La Roche Posay, Human+Kind and Trilogy. Need Vitamins or any diet supplements? they have that covered too. Even if you have a little one on the way or a little one has just arrived they also stock pushchairs, high chairs and other baby related items.

I have signed up to their newsletter and every month, you receive an email with 10% off. Other discount codes are also regularly posted on their Facebook and Twitter

Looking After My Hair

I have thick wavy hair. Something that is a complete nightmare to style and frustrates me something fierce. I'm very bold and for an easy life I tend to GHD the life out of it. Sure, I use a heat protector but I still feel awful straightening it the entire time. Over the last month or so, I've consciously cut down on straightening and opted for styling my more naturally.

Washing My Hair

I'd heard great things about Argan Oil for curly/wavy hair but had never tried it.Enter Rich Hair Care Colour Protect Argan Shampoo and Conditioner* These lovelies protect coloured hair while also nourishing, strengthening and smoothing hair.

Both of these contain a precious blend of Argania Spinosa Kernal Oil to strengthen hair leaving it feeling soft, shiny and free of frizz. Hydrolyzed Wheat, Corn & Soy proteins are also on hand to help strengthen hair and reduce future breakages. They smell incredible and even though I've had them over a month , I've barely made a dent in the bottles

For Curly Days

Curly days happen during the week when I'm working. I apply Rich Hair Care Curl Enhancing Cream.

This is an  intense moisture cream that can help revive dry, tired hair to produce defined curls that are full of natural bounce. It also contains Argania Spinosa Kernal Oil to remove frizz and create softer, more manageable hair whilst Natural Coconut Oil Essence reduces static and adds immense shine. It also contains a blend of Hydrolyzed Wheat, Maize & Soy Proteins to improve the strength and texture of curly hair.

I find this brilliant for taming my wild tresses. Usually when I let my hair dry naturally, I have to tie it up cos the frizz is too much. With this lovely, I can actually leave my hair down.

For Straight Days

If I'm heading out to a special occasion or event, I always straighten my hair.

I start off with a little bit of protection from Rich Haircare Pure Luxury Maximum Brilliance Protect and Shine. This heat-deflecting thermal protective spray is perfect for those who love their hairdryer, flat iron or rollers! The fine spray also locks-in moisture, prevents color fade and protects against UV & heat damage.

To keep my hair straight for as long as possible I use John Frieda 3 Day Straight. This is my 3rd bottle and I cant get enough of it. It makes my straight hair last much longer.  Retailing around €9 but you can usually pick it up on offer in Boots and Tesco.

For ages, I wanted the Babyliss Big Hair brush but when I saw the Tresemme Volume Styler on sale in Argos, I just had to buy it. We got off to a bit of a bad start, as the one I bought was faulty. This was quickly rectified and I haven't looked back. This non rotating brush makes straightening my hair a doddle. Usually, I would have to wait a day after washing my hair before I could break out the GHD.  With this lovely, my hair is washed and straightened within an hour. It doesn't straighten my hair completely so I have to run my GHD over it.

** Rich Hair Care is free of Silicone Oil, Sulfates and Parabens. can be found in selected pharmacies aswell as http://www.beautyfeatures.ie/brands/RICH-Haircare.html **

Fuschia Tinted Veil

While at the Beauty Show a few weeks ago, myself and Donna came across the Fuschia makeup stand. I used Fuschia years ago but kind of forgot about them. In need of a new primer and being shocked at another stand wanting €10 for the tiniest bottle of primer ever,I was eager to see what primers Fuschia did.

I had a choice of two, one which was similar to my beloved Paese Matte Makeup Base, which I love. Give me a silicone primer and I'm your friend forever. The other was a tinted veil that also looked brilliant. Dilemma! Which to choose? I did the only thing anyone in my shoes would do, I swatched the both of them in the hopes that I would come to a decision.

Well, that was a complete fail, I liked the way both of them felt on my skin. SO then I though OK, be sensible about this, which one is sinking into your skin quicker. The reason I thought of this is because when I get ready for work, I need a primer that I can put on and not wait too long before putting on my foundation.

The Tinted Veil in Fair won the battle and I have to say I am delighted with my choice. On first sight this looks like a tinted silicon primer and feels like my beloved silicon primer so I love that. When I put it on, it immediately minimises any pores and fine lines. It stands up brilliant to my Paese primer and I feel like I am getting much longer wear out of my foundation.

This lovely cost me €15 at the Beauty Show but... that was the discounted price. To purchase it on Fuschia.ie or in store costs €30, a price I would be slightly hesitant at paying for a primer, but I get the feeling that this lovely will last quite a long time. In comparison the other primer I was considering costs €22 on the website No buyers remorse here but when I got home I wished I bought both.
