Ali Mac Chamomile Cleansing Melt

I love hearing about new Irish beauty companies, the latest I have come across is Ali Mac Skincare
Ali Mac Skincare has developed a range of skincare and personal products that are natural and their ingredients are ethically sourced. You won't find one nasty ingredient in the range which is a big plus.

The lovely folks at Ali Mac sent me a couple of products to test out. First up is the Chamomile Cleansing Melt.

This cleansing melt is rich in linoleic and oleic fatty acids which are known for their regenerative and healing properties.

I'm all about trying new cleansers but had never tried a melt before. This lovely has a vaseline type texture along with a lovely chamomile scent.

To use,you need to apply small dots of the cleanser to your face and gently massage. To wipe off you then use a hot wet cloth.

It felt a bit weird applying the melt to my skin but I soon got over it and was impressed with how much makeup it removed. I thought I would be left with a lot of oily residue on my skin but thankfully that didnt happen.

This beauty cost €21.95 for a decent amount of product. As you are only using a small amount at a time, it should last you quite a while. It can be purchased here

Would you try this?

La Roche Posay Lipikar Lait

La Roche Posay Lipikar Lait is a product I have used many times since first discovering the brand. It's pretty much been my go to moisturiser. The reason I like it is because there are no perfumes in it and it does a pretty amazing job at hydrating my skin.

I always knew that it was suitable for babies and toddlers so there was no question in my mind whether or not I would use this on the little man. I use it on him everyday along with the shower gel in the range. USing the both, it pretty much keeps his eczema at bay.

You can buy it in a 200ml or 400ml, I always by the 400ml because it works out much cheaper and lasts fr ages.

Have you tried anything in the Lipikar range?

La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense Masque

The Hydraphase Intense Masque is the newest addition to the La Roche Posay range and one I was really excited about. Why excitement? This is the first mask in the whole La Roche Posay range, something I have wished for so long.

This rehydrating mask features the classic La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water and Hyaluronic Acid therefore it's designed to help put some rehydration back into our skin. Something that has been very welcome with our summer heat wave.

This is like heaven for my poor skin, I apply a thick layer and let it do its thing for 10 minutes. After the 10 minutes, you just tissue off the excess. No rinsing here!! As a rule of thumb the faster the mask sinks in,the more dehydrated the area is. On my forehead, it sinked in really fast the first couple of times.

I use it as a twice weekly treat and can't get enough of it. The masque retails at €16.50, which like the other products in the range is pretty purse friendly.

La Roche Posay Nutiritic Intense Riche

Earlier in the year, La Roche Posay launched a product that I fell in love with. Nutritic Intense Riche was designed to help those with extremely dry skin. Now, I have oily combination skin but with all the bad weather we had,it was in pretty poor nick.

I needed something that was going to get rid of dry patches and boost the hydration in my skin. This worked a treat. I also really like the balm like texture and scent coming from the cream.

The only minor negative I have, is the fact there is no SPF in it. So I tend to use this as a night cream or if I am having a really bad skin day, I will use this and then use a foundation with an SPF.

La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume

For my second post on Brand Appreciation Week, I wanted to share with you a product that I have repurchased several times.

Cicaplast Baume is a must have for the household. It helps with sunburn, skin irritations, nappy rash and is in general an all round great little multi tasker. Recently I had really dry patches of skin on my forehead, a couple of applications with this and they were completely gone.

When in work, it is my go to product for any customer looking for something to help with a skin irritation.

All the ingredients in this baby are designed to be kind to skin. These ingredients include Panthenol, which is known for its healing and anti inflammatory properties aswell as soothing irritation and redness.

What I really love about this, other than the fact it is a brilliant multi tasker, it also has a lovely texture which spreads easily and sinks in quickly.

You can pick Cicaplast Baume up in either a 40ml (€7.50) or 100ml (€12.50) from any La Roche Posay Stockist.

Staying Safe In The Sun With La Roche Posay

How incredible is this weather? I am really loving the bit of sun and heat but am conscious of keeping the whole family protected. The little man has his own Vichy sun cream but for myself I am using La Roche Posay Anthelios XL 50+ SPF Nutritive Oil.

This lovely is suitable for both face and body. It is also water resistant.  What I really like is although its an oil, you’re not left waiting for it to sink in. As with most sunscreens, you need to reapply regularly.

I was a bit worried how an oil would work with my false tan but luckily it didn’t leave me streaky. The only thing I’m not liking is the scent but that’s purely a personal thing.

You can pick this is up in all La Roche Posay stockists for €22
