Non Makeup Beauties for Holiday

I always go quiet minimal with skincare when I head away. I keep it simple with a micellar water (which I'm picking up when I get there), a day cream with SPF (Nuxe Sun Delicious Cream for Face High Protection SPF30), a night cream ( Image Skincare Vital C Hydrating Repair Creme) and a thermal spa water (Vichy Eau Thermale) 

I find a spa water really handy for cooling down and it's also a god send for any sun burn that we might incur. Last year, I only brought a small bottle and instantly regretted that choice. I'm also bringing a large tube of Cicaplast Baume. Another super handy item to have for sunburn or any other irritations. Along with using a micellar water, my Cleanse Off Mitt is coming with me. 

I plan on using travel bottles for everything except the Eau Thermale and Cicaplast Baume to cut down on space.

Ziaja Sensitive Skin Enzyme Peel Mask

There is no doubt about it, Enzyme Peels are becoming more and more popular. I have to say, I would have been a bit dubious about them. A few years back, I tried an enzyme peeling cream and had a pretty nasty reaction to it. When the Ziaja Sensitive Skin Enzyme Peel Mask landed on my door, I was scared but a quick search on the internet of the many reviews settled me down. So I decided to give it a go.

Best decision ever because I am loving it so much. This enzyme peel targets dead skin cells and smooths and brightens the skin. It's not a harsh peel, making it perfect for sensitive skin like mine. It is recommended to use the peel once or twice a week. I use it once a week which works perfectly for when I can feel my skin needs an extra boost.

The formula itself is gel based and is actually quite cooling on the skin. You need to leave the mask on for 10 to 15 minutes. I do 15 minutes. When the mask is applied, I can feel it tighten my skin a little bit but it's not an uncomfortable feeling.

Enzyme Peels range in price, usually on the expensive side expensive but Ziaja's offering is just €4.99! Bargain. I have used it for about six weeks and I still have over 3/4 of the 60ml tube left so I can see this lasting me another good while. 

If you are dubious of enzyme peels, I would definitely say give this lovely a go. If you do buy it, I would recommend doing a patch test, just to be really sure.I am really liking the Ziaja products both myself and the little man have been using and will definitely be buying more to try.

Rimmel Apocolips in Celestial

Rimmel is a brand I will put my hands up and say I neglect. My teenage self would have never said those words! I like the quality of the products but I often tend to steer to another makeup stand. On a recent trip into the mammy's local pharmacy, I decided to pick up one of the much raved about Apocolips. The Apocalips range are creamy lip lacquers with impressive pigmentation to all their shades. I've never really got on with lip lacquers, often finding them drying on the lips.I swatches two pinky shades but decided Celestial was the winner for me. 

I'm really loving the pinky shade that is Celestial. I find it's not drying at all and the colour staying power is impressive. Lip colours of any type don't tend to last any length on me but Celestial stays put for a couple of hours. If lip products tend to stay on your lips well, I would say you would easily get a four or even five hour wear.

Luckily for me there was a €2 off promotion so this meant I picked it up for €5.95. I'm already planning on getting more and have seen a trio in the Aer Lingus Sky Mall for €15 which may just tempt me.
